Undergraduate Membership

On the undergraduate level, membership requirements consist of the following:

  • Prospective members MUST be enrolled in a college/university at which a chapter of Alpha Nu Omega, Inc. is established.  If you are looking to establish a new chapter, please visit our national website www.alphanuomegainc.org/membership to gain more information on the chartering process.

  • In keeping with our purpose, prospective members MUST have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.7 with at least 12 credits.

  • Prospective MUST attend "Campus Wide Information Session" as set by Coppin State University.

  • Interested persons MUST attend Alpha Nu Omega Inc. events prior to the Interest Meeting.

  • They should make an attempt to know the members of that chapter and of same gender.

  • All applicants MUST obtain a recommendation letter from a member of the organization.

  • Prospective members MUST attend the scheduled Interest Meeting on time dressed in professional attire. Contact your local chapter for specific dates.

  • Prospective MUST have made satisfactory arrangements with the Office of Financial Aid

  • Prospective members MUST attend the scheduled Formal Interest Meeting on time dressed in professional attire. 

  • To obtain an application for membership, you MUST attend an Interest Meeting.

Note: Coppin State University’s standard for any potential member of a NPHC/CIO organization requires the individual to be classified at the 1st Semester Sophomore status (completion of at thirty hours of earned credits) and a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. The potential candidate must have participated in the Campus Wide Information Session at least once during the calendar year before obtaining membership into any NPHC/CIO organization on campus.
